So There I Was ... In Africa
Columns written while on assignment in Central Africa on Love, Freedom and Invincibility.
Volume two of the So There I Was ... series. Many of the stories in this book started as UPI columns, but some were blog posts from the field, and some have been written up just for this book because I have told them so many times that people who know me can refer to them by title. This book chronicles my first two trips to Burundi, Rwanda and the Congo. There is comedy, tragedy and adventure galore!
28 stories, 147 pages. $15 plus $2 postage any where in the US. Shipping to Canada and the UK available, ask for details. Multiple copy discount $12 plus $2 postage per copy.

Dear Peggy;
ReplyDeleteWell, you have done it again. Books arrived this afternoon and I have just finished reading and traveling to Africa! Congratulations on another great book and will pray as the message goes out. I really felt like I was there- it makes all the difference in the world to read about some place you have been, and then to hear stories about it. Africa and its wonderful people are still under my skin and in my heart and I want them to stay there. Peace Through Pieces has sold almost all of the 600 bags our African ladies have made since July. ... I am so glad you are going back next summer as I know your heart is there. Keep up the writing and good work. I think I forgot to tell you that we have been reading the So There I Was for our devotions in the morning. You have really stirred up the brain dust- ... we are really talking at breakfast!! . We start on Africa tomorrow!
Love you.
